The Winnipeg Arena is located at 1430 Maroons Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba, which is located between Empress and St. James streets. It is located beside the Polo Park shopping centre, which is a major retail shopping centre.

Arena Ice Level Dimensions

  • 200’ x 85’ = 17,000 sq.ft.
  • Removing the North end dashers provides an additional 1,000 sq.ft. of open floor space and 4,000 sq.ft. of concourse space.

Arena Seating Capacity

  • Approximately 14,000 for hockey and family events
  • Approximately 15,000 for concerts and wrestling
  • Other flexible configurations from 3,500 to 15,000 capacities are available for your special event.

 Arena Lighting

  • 125-foot candles, 1500-watt metal halide incandescent.

Banquet Facilities

  • Hometown Heroes Bar & Grill is located on the second floor of the west side of the Winnipeg Arena.
  • Blue & Gold Room is located adjacent to the Canad Inns Stadium.
    • Table seating up to 330.
    • Theatre seating up to 500.
  • A variety of banquet configurations are available utilizing seating on concourses, arena level, or other spaces..
  • Audio and video services available.
  • Abundance of parking available.

Arena Beams & Ceiling Height

  • 32 feet between beams.
  • Arena Surface: 65’ to bottom steel / 88’ to high steel (roof rated at 40 lbs. per sq. ft.).
  • Trim of clock at full height 45’.
  • Main Concourse 10’, Ice level 8’1”.

  • 2 located at the south end of facility giving access to all levels.

  • Arena 250 lb./sq.ft. finished cement (refrigerated ice floor).
  • Main Concourse 250 lb./sq.ft. finished concrete.

Loading Entrance

  • Vehicle ramp entrance and exit from southeast side of facility adjacent to parking lot. 
  • Door dimensions: 18’6” h x 13’4”w.

Medical Care

  • Provided by CritiCare Medical Services.
  • Staffing levels are determined on a per event basis by WEC.

P.A. System

  • Computer controlled sound system able to equalize any combination of zones to provide optimum sound coverage.

Parking

  • 1,500 spaces located adjacent to the facility.
  • Over 9,000 parking spaces within a 10-minute walk of Winnipeg Arena and Canad Inns Stadium.

  • 800 amp (2 x 400) 3 phase 5 wire.
  • 400 amp 3 phase 5 wire.
  • 175 amp 3 phase 5 wire.

  • All of the above are 120/208 volts.

Replay Board

  • 4 - Sony 10 x 13 Jumbotrons located in the corners of Arena.

Ticketing

  • Select-A-Seat, a fully computerized ticketing system.
  • Call centre capable of handling 40 lines.
  • 17 ticket outlets throughout the city.

Wheel chair provisions

  • 32 locations suitable for one wheelchair and one guest each. Power available for special needs.
  • Two elevators from main concourse to seating area.
  • Outside access ramp located at the south west and north east entrances to the facility.
