Directions to Winnipeg Arena
From the West
• You will be coming from the West into Winnipeg on the Trans Canada Highway (1). When you are getting close to city limits, you will first hit a small community called Headingley, continue on this highway as it will bring you right into the city, and the highway name will change to Portage Avenue.
• Once on Portage Avenue, continue East for approximately 15 minutes. Look for a major shopping center called Polo Park, which will be located on your left hand side (north side of the road), at this point, stay in your far right hand (curb) lane, there is a sign noting the Wpg. Arena & Stadium, but it’s a quick right turn onto a yield. (You’ll also notice an A & W restaurant just shortly before this turn off)
• Follow the cloverleaf around, and you’ll be heading North again on Empress, shortly you should see the Arena on the left hand side of the road.
• Turn left onto Rapelje Avenue, and the first immediate right will bring you into the Winnipeg Arena parking lot.
From the South
• You will be coming in from the South towards Winnipeg City on Highway 75. (Or I-29 from the USA)
• Follow this highway into the City and look for the Winnipeg West Perimeter turnoff or named Hwy 1A West. This intersection is the first major ‘big’ intersection you’ll come into shortly after entering the City.
• You will continue West on this highway for approximately 15-20 minutes, and eventually start heading North on the same highway.
• Once heading North, look for the Portage Avenue East turnoff, and turn right onto this yield.
• Once on Portage Avenue, continue East for approximately 15 minutes. From the East
• You will be coming in on the Trans Canada Highway (HWY 1) from the East.
• Just after entering City limits, first set of lights on this highway, is a boulevard called Lagimodiere. Turn left at these set of lights and head South. You will pass an intersection named Bishop Grandin Blvd, but continue to head South, and take the next RIGHT hand turn off onto the Winnipeg Perimeter Highway (By-Pass), or named Highway 1A.
• You will continue West on this highway for approximately 25-30 minutes, and eventually start heading North on the same highway.
• Once heading North, look for the Portage Avenue East turnoff, and turn right onto this yield.
